Routine

Hours of operation - Drop off is between 8:00 and 9:00 am.  Pick up is between 4:00 and 5:00 pm.  Please contact me to discuss any special circumstances.

Routine is important but should also allow for change and adaptation depending on the changing needs of the children I care for.

 Same daily routine:
  • 8:00 am Daycare Opens
  • 8:00 - 8:45 am Arrivals and free play, music time
  • 8:45 am Diaper changes (I use cloth diapers on my children and am happy to use your cloth or disposable diapers on your child).  
  • 9:00 am Morning nap (age dependent) / Indoor play, crafts
  • 10:00 - 10:30 am Snack
  • 10:30 am Diaper changes
  • 10:45 am - 11:30 am Outdoor play in nearby park (several to choose from), indoor play during inclement weather, crafts
  • 11:30 am - 12:15 pm Lunch preparation, lunch, clean up
  • 12:15 pm Diaper changes  
  • 12:30 - 12:45 pm Stories, preparation for nap time.
  • 1:00 - 3:00 pm Nap time (children will be left to nap beyond 3:00 pm if they need it, unless parents object)
  • 3:00 pm  Diaper changes  
  • 3:15 pm Afternoon snack
  • 3:45 pm - 4:30 pm Outdoor play or indoor play
  • 4:30 - 5: 00 pm Preparations for pick up, Daycare closes
Our daily routine involves play & circle time (singing together, dancing together), story time, outdoor play at a nearby park, active time (indoors or outdoors), quiet time and nap time. Snacks and lunch will consist of healthy, often organic food.
